Big Japan Tour - May 2003

On April 6th, 2002, during the main event in Fukuoka, at the Hakata Star Lanes arena, with YAMAKAWA, I received an injury to my pelvis/hip socket.  The socket was broken and severely damaged.  After visiting the hospital in Fukuoka, I was flown home where the sports medicine orthopedic surgeons at the University of Kentucky Hospital performed a 5 hour surgery to build a new hip socket, with steel, and repair the damage.  Over three months later, on July 16th, I was told that I could start learning to walk again.  Now, I have healed completely and have returned to wrestling.   The X-ray shows the 2 srteel straps and the six long steel screws that are now embedded into the bones.

Here is a photo taken in April, showing the incision and staples.  This was my first real injury in over 12 years of professional wrestling.

My X-ray, after being operated on.

Thanks to Dr. Rosenbloom, I am all fixed up.
